Aloha Tribe,
February 28th, I went with 7 people to go surfing. We took three cars. It was a exotically fun caravan through the wilds of the Pacific Northwest, including several very interesting parking lot tours. We spent the day surfing in a fairly large bay, with beautiful one foot waves. Sure, they may not have been monsters, but you know what, that didn't matter in the least for it was truly beautiful fun that was had by all and we all caught waves and enjoyed ourselves totally. We had fun waves, fun food, a fun drive, and fun talking story. What more could a pod of surfers want?
The next Tuesday, I headed out to Wesport, intent on surfing for the next three days. Fate had other plans in store and I ended up having to drive home about midnight Tuesday night. Oh well, such is the life of a surfer girl.
I'm starting to round out my Hawaii surfing plans and have begun in earnest my training for that trip. For it, I'll be training about 12 hours a day of intense focused work to get into shape.
Today, I did a ton of mountainboarding on my mountainboard with 10 inch tires. It's an awesome ride and since I live in the woods, it was beautiful too.
Tomorrow, off on another surfing adventure, again to Westport. I've got my boards all set, as well as some of my gear, the rest to be stowed after dinner.
Sunday will be some intense lake training focusing on balance and paddling.
All in all, life is way totally grand. Ride surfer girl, ride!!!
