Alaias I Made
Aloha Tribe,
Here are a few Alaias and Paipos that I made over Christmas for myself and my friends.
I am a longboard girl. A Chi Surfer. A girl who rides the energy of the waves both while riding my 9 foot longboard as well as while riding the waves of energy (Qi) within my own body.
This is Chi Surfing. A new art. A new surfing frontier. Untouched.Unexplored. Raw. Wild. Filled with untold adventures.
This is the next evolution of surfing.
Chi Surfing!!!
I've studied the Chinese art of chi gung (qigong) since I was a very young girl and I am adapting my longboard surfing style to flow with chi (qi), making me, quite possibly, the world's first Chi Gung longboard soul surfer. I plan to use my chi gung skills to help me on my quest from beginning surfer to a soft style nose rider, using chi specifically to bring a flowing sense of softness, grace, and beauty to my enhanced sensually sensory style of surfing. I have written a book on qigong called Chi Gung: Chinese Healing, Energy, and Natural Magick. I'm using the ideas from that book as well as a lifetime of study and practice in the art in my new surfing style. My year's goal is a mellow ride on a Big Wave. MY ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO RIDE WAVES WITH A NEW SENSE OF UNBRIDLED STOKE, WILD AND FREE AS A STORM RIDER.
